Then copy and paste the full error report into the forum here. In the bottom left corner of error window, please check both boxes. If that does not fix the problem and it crashes again, I need to see all of the error message. The first thing I recommend you try, is a full program reset of VMSP16. Un-installing and re-installing Vegas will not fix problems. The reason why I am asking, is because sometimes the 3rd Party Plugins which come as bonuses, may cause problems due to older versions of plugins that are already on your computer. When you bought Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 16, did you buy just that version OR did you buy the "Suite" version ? Open VMSP16 and go to Help/About - the latest build version is #142.
Which build version do you have installed right now ? Just to be clear, the program you are having problems with is Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 16 ? Is this correct ? The older thread you added your message to, was related to different problems which have been completely resolved for that user. with the solution being the comment by EricLNZ.I have moved your message into a new thread.
There's also this thread from 2020 re using the MSP13 HitFilm FX plugins in VMSP16. Just checking my Vegas Pro 13 purchase back in April 2014, the link to get the bonus extras (iZotope and NBFX) with that purchase went to a Sony webpage specifically related to that purchase, but that now ends in a dead link. I suspect that downloading MSP13 (or other version) from his MAGIX My Account or the Sony archive will result in getting the MSP basic program only but not any bonus extras that were offered as a limited time offer from 3rd party companies such as HitFilm. exe file and serial number so that it can be re-installed. Hopefully, the OP still has the HitFilm FX package installed on his computer or if not still has its. Perhaps it was a limited time bonus offer at the time which would most likely have been a separate download and install via its own.
